It’s been 7 weeks since pledges for equal play were announced by a handful of country stations in the US and Canada and by CMT for its video hours. There has also been a significant swirl of interest around the Dixie Chicks’ return after 14 years with “Gaslighter” (which received 532 spins in its first 4 days of airplay) and Mickey Guyton’s much-anticipated “What Are You Gonna Tell Her?” (which was debuted at Country Radio Seminar on 20 February).
